For this past week, my heart is heavy watching the news of all the devastation going on in our world. A word that spoke to my heart in the midst of a full week, where I’ve been left thinking I’m not doing a great job keeping up with all the chaos. May it bring me hope to know that GOD is letting us know that He is still with us, in the chaos.
My core practice includes learning to live above my circumstances. I challenge you to abandon the illusion of an uncluttered world. Face each day just as it comes, and find Yourself in the midst of it all.
Talk with GOD about every aspect of your day, including your feelings. Remember that your ultimate goal is not to manage or fix everything around you; it is to keep praying to GOD. A victorious day is one in which you have stayed in touch with Him, even if many trials and tribulations remain undone at the end of the day. Do not let your to-do list (written or mental) become an image guiding your life. Preferably, ask GOD to guide you step by step. He will keep you close to Him.
Although there is a lot that may be left undone at the end of every day; just know GOD created the day and cared about us more than we could ever imagine, that’s where true life begins.
