Hello, Ladies and Gents!
My name is Vernessie, and I have been inspired by many great websites and blogs relating to all things natural hair. A light bulb went off in my head to give back to my community, and here I am. I am 9 years into my natural hair journey. I always had a love for hair since my teen years, and I carried out my dream by becoming a self–taught hair braider – natural hairstylist.
That is truly my gift because I took to this skill easily and mastered it through regular practice to love it and nothing’s changed I still love it and continue to evolve.
Since I retired, I needed to find something to do with my leisure time (I have plenty of that now) LOL. Although I am growing “interloc dreads”, I still have a love for braids.
I have plenty of old wigs, so I decided to restyle one into individual braids and here is my final result. (SEE ABOVE PICS)
(Note: I started out using the Black Gold brand hair but ran out and could not find it so I completed the wig using the RASTA FRI)
