I needed to find an alternative to smoothies. I have gotten burned out on them. So I started researching on the internet how to incorporate veggies and fruits to make a vegetable stock.

My Ingredient List:

  • Red, Orange, Green Bell Peppers
  • Brown Onions
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Green Onions
  • Mint Leaves
  • Oranges
  • Garlic
  • Tomatoes

soup-tea-stockI used my pressure cooker on stew settings for 30 minutes for veggies and fruit. Once done I separated the liquid off of the vegetables and fruit. My reason for separating is because I am using the liquid to make tea and the stewed ingredients in the soup.

The main reason I make stock and keep it on hand for my family is for gut healing. The mixture acts as a natural antibiotic with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties; that promote the growth of healthy bacteria in the large intestine.

I make a big batch of this stock and then freeze in ice cube trays and store for later usage.
